Penn Chemistry welcomed special guests for the first ever Alan G. MacDiarmid Medal Lecture. This lecture series has been instituted as a way to both honor some of the most distinguished leaders in their fields of chemistry and to celebrate Alan’s incomparable legacy at Penn. The recipient of the Medal was Richard Schrock, and we were joined by Alan's wife and Alan's grandson.
