Prof. Patrick Walsh and Prof. Jeffrey Winkler have both been honored by the School of Arts and Sciences for their exceptional teaching and mentorship.
Patrick Walsh is a recipient of the Dean's Award for Mentorship of Undergraduate Research. This award is presented to SAS standing faculty members for meaningful engagement of undergraduate students in research due to exceptional nurturing and facilitating by faculty.
Jeffrey Winkler has been named as a recipient of the Ira H. Abrams Memorial Award for Distinguished Teaching. The Abrams Award seeks to recognize teaching that is intellectually rigorous and exceptionally coherent and that leads to an informed understanding of a discipline. As the School of Arts and Sciences' highest teaching honor, the Abrams Award recognizes faculty who have sustained records of teaching excellence.
