Organic Chemistry Seminar, Dr. Damian Young, BCM

Research

The Young lab research focuses on the development of chemical pathways leading to molecule that can be used to probe fundamental and disease-associated biology. His lab is pioneering new chemical and biophysical methodologies related to fragment-based drug discovery to be deployed against challenging targets in cancer. The Young Lab in interested in the following research areas:

Organic Chemistry Seminar: Dr. Jeff Aubé, UNC

Research

We are interested in the development of synthetic organic methods and total synthesis of natural products, particularly focusing on rearrangement reactions and heterocyclic chemistry. We also use chemistry, working with biologists and physicians, to address unmet needs in infectious disease, neuroscience, and cancer.
