David Christianson Named a Radcliffe Fellow

David Christianson has been named a Fellow of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard. David will be at Harvard next year as a Visiting Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.

Chemistry Students Honored by National Science Foundation

Bren Cole (Schelter group), Vincius Ferreira (Baumgart group), and Dahlia Klein (Murray group) have been awarded fellowships in the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP).

Nicole Bellonzi (Subotnik group), Tyler Higgins (Winkler group), Alex Kellum (Smith group), and Stan Najmr (Murray group) all received honorable mentions.

Gary Molander to be honored at ACS Meeting

Gary A. Molander, Hirschmann-Makineni Professor and Chemistry Department Chair, has been selected to receive the 2015 Herbert C. Brown Award for Creative Research in Synthetic Methods. The Brown award, sponsored by the Purdue Borane Research Fund and the Herbert C.

Zahra Fakhraai Receives Sloan Fellowship

Assistant Professor Zahra Fakhraai is one of three Penn faculty to receive 2015 Sloan Research Fellowships. Zahra, whose group studies the effect of nano-confinement on structure, dynamics and other properties of materials, joined the Chemistry Department in 2011.

David White Memorial Service
